Ascending Mt Zion: Worship For The Lord’s Day March 16th, 2025

Doxology Driven

Doxology Driven

Solomon’s Porch is doxology driven. What does that mean? It means that we believe that the center of the Church’s life on earth, the most important thing that she does, is worship God. The Gospel transforms idolaters into worshipers. The indwelling Holy Spirit makes each worshiper into a Temple of the Holy Spirit. Without a doubt temples are places of worship. Further, each worshiper is a living stone in the mystical Temple of God (1 Peter 2:5). Jesus also tears the veil so we can go through it and into the Father’s Presence, where we may offer our acceptable worship. Thus, we are accepted in the Beloved.

Another point to be made is that all the means of grace are acts of worship. God provides grace to His people through their worship. Giving, Prayer, Fasting, Serving, and Sabbath are the means of grace. Therefore, we should take advantage of the Gospel’s power and privilege to come into God’s Presence with thanksgiving and offer Him our worship because Jesus in the Gospel has brought us near.

Consequently, I have been invited to deliver a talk on being a “Doxology Driven Church” at the Together 4 Evangelism 2025 Conference on Saturday April 12 at Grace Community Church in Nashville. Registration is currently open for any who would like to attend. 32.00 covers food, three sessions, Q & A, and also gives you the opportunity to hit the streets of Nashville with some experienced evangelists for the afternoon.
