Hello folks, I haven’t posted anything in quite a while. Life has been hectic and I was a little burned out with writing. I have been reading articles in this months 9 Marks Journal, a movement associated with Capitol Hill Baptist Church and the teaching ministry of Mark Devers, and I have enjoyed them so much I thought I would share a link to their Journal with all my Solomon’s Porch friends.
They have published some great books on being a New Testament Church, so if you want to go deeper I’d urge you to visit the book section of their website. Might I suggest, “What is a Healthy Church?” by Mark Devers and “Biblical Theology in the Life of the Church” by Michael Lawrence as good starting points.
On another note, I’ll be putting up the final 8 sermons from our Sunday Evening Series through the book of Hebrews soon, and we will be starting a new series through the Book of Hosea on Sunday August 4th, 2013. There is a lot of very rich and very pertinent material to be mined for the church’s benefit in Hosea, and I pray God will bless this series as much as He did our series the Book of Hebrews.
